Please stay on forest paths and marked hiking routes to avoid unnecessarily disturbing wild animals and harming rare plants.
Bicycling is permitted on all forest paths, but off-road cycling is not allowed. It harms the habitats of protected species in particular.
Take note when areas are closed by forestry personnel. Please stay out of areas that are closed, even if you don’t see workers nearby right at the moment. Forestry work is dangerous, and we do not want visitors to come to harm.
Remember that smoking and setting fires in the forest are prohibited all year-round. Visitors are welcome to use the designated areas for grilling in the city forest.
Mushrooms and berries can be collected for personal use. Please be careful when harvesting mushrooms and berries and refrain from tearing out the stems or roots so that more can grow back the next year.
The city forest is an off-leash area for dogs. We are happy to welcome obedient, well-behaved canine companions. Other walkers, hikers, and recreational users will also be grateful if your dog stays close to you.
Please keep the forest clean. This helps keep wild animals safe and lets all other recreational users enjoy an unspoiled natural environment.
We are delighted that so many visitors enjoy the city forest, but undisturbed enjoyment of nature for everyone is only possible if everyone shows consideration for each other, especially for older individuals and children.
If at all possible, confine your visits to the forest to daylight hours. Human contact at dawn and dusk and during the night is especially disruptive to wild animals.
It should go without saying that motor vehicles are not permitted in the forest. Please park only in designated parking areas. Our forestry equipment needs a lot of space, and so do emergency response vehicles.
